Good Morning Tucson, the Southern Arizona Chapter of the AACN has some exciting things to share with you!!
First, please join un in welcoming our newest board members for the upcoming year! We are so thrilled to have these dedicated ladies representing our chapter!
The board meetings are open to all (including students) and we encourage your participation. We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at TMC at 6 pm following our educational sessions. Our chapter's success relies on our community of ICU nurses telling us what they need! Please don't hesitate to come and share your thoughts with us.
Kelly is a CVICU nurse from TMC. Jenna is currently a NICU nurse at TMC but has adult ICU experice prior to that. She will be transitioning to Donor Network of AZ in the next couple weeks as an Organ Recovery Coordinator. Elizabeth works at TMC in the Neuro-Surgical ICU. Jeanine is a professor at Pima and also works in the BUMC ICU float pool. Tonya works in the Trama ICU at BUMC. Nickey works at the VA in their ICU. It's great to have some new faces in the mix!
Secondly, this years AACN theme is UNSTOPPABLE!
AACN's 50th President, Megan Brunson, wants us to embrace the true sprit and grit of the ICU nurse and to show this world what we're made of!!! We can't wait to see what boundaries we can push together for the greater good of our patients and for the wellbeing of ourselves as their trusted caregivers!!
